Default Re: squeak

Hi brake pads can squeal all the time without the brakes applied if they are worn down to the squealers that is how they work. To let you know they need replacement.

Change your hubs and it will feel like a New truck... I am on my 3rd set at 105,xxx miles... Price depends on where you buy them, I've seen them from $170-$390 a piece...
I know its the last thing everyone wants to hear $$. If you search old posts about squeeking, squeeling, metal noise, clunking, coming from the front... 9 out of 10 times the final result was bearing replacement after days of blaming the brakes and changing pads, triming brakes shields. It's not a tuff fix if you have the tools.
