My brother in law and I were picking up dinner for our wives on the way back from the range the other night. We stopped for gas when someone came up and said "Wow. What kind of gas mileage you getting with that thing?" My brother in law without skipping a beat says "35mpg".

Took the guy a good bit to figure out we were f-ing with him.

I think most people are more caught off guard by the fact that someone is openly ****ing with them rather than answering their stupid questions. I mean, why do they really care what MPG my truck gets? Its MY truck and MY gas bill!

I had the same thing happen to me the last time I was at the pumps but the guy asking was driving a beat up 80's suburban! I responded with "Better than that thing!"

I was at a show a few weeks back and a guy drove up in a Ferrari and tells me glad to see someone else has money to burn.
