There was a very simular article in the Toronto Star a few months back.
As far as the superstack!! That's hillarious. I was born in that city and it's called Sudbury.
It's so large that you can drive a car around the top of it. (probably not a hummer though!)

The mine is called INCO in case anyone wanted to google the stack.
They have been on strike for over a year so pollution has been a little better!
