Re: Added NAV to 03, GPS not tracking position - Anyone know why?
Hi if it stays tracking as you move don't worry about it, but if it stops tracking as you move or takes a min. to track you then add the vss wire.

Re: Added NAV to 03, GPS not tracking position - Anyone know why?
you just need to let the antenae calibrate itself to the current location on the vehicle. I have had three gps headunits in my vehicle so far, first stock worked great except hated you can't listen to radio while navigating, second jesen same thing you described and now KENWOOD, best purchase so far!! I have one in my avalanche and love it so much I replaced my H2 head unit to it. Hope it all works well, and I still have an 04-06 stock Nav head for all you other lookin. With map disc!!

...or if you live in a location with a lot of tunnels. The VSS will help keep you're course on track while underground.

so what you`re saying is that the 05 H2 touch screen NAV unit will work on an `03 H2 without any mods? Anyone have a unit laying around that you would like to get rid of?

It works perfectly. Get the antenna mount as it serves as the ground for the antenna. Doa search as well, the dealer must tell the Scan Tool it is an 04 to get the option to unlock the Nav radio.
