Default Re: 08 H2 stalling

It stalled on me three times again today. The engine was cold (as was the case the first time it stalled). I was trying to back it out of a parking stop. Engine was difficult to fire (took 15 seconds of sitting on the starter). Engine finally started, when i shifted to reverse, rpms dropped and it died. I repeated this three times until I finally got it to reverse and not die. I'm taking it to the dealership in the morn. My husband thinks it's a bad fuel pump. Your thoughts?

Just went through this on my 05. Replaced fuel pump and ultimately the crankshaft position sensor. Now runs perfect. I would first replace or check sensor with code reader. My 05 showed no trouble light on dash but code reader picked up the bad sensor. $45 a local Auto Zone.

A dirty throttle body can cause cold engine hard start and stall
