Very true, in fact, I believe some PETA members are being tried under animal cruelty charges in VA, and are noted to adopt animals at local vets and then killing them. They prefer to kill versus allow people to have pets.
As for slavery, I look at my dog, and she eats better than me, does not have to work (I plan on getting a sled for exercise for her), and she actually rules the roost. I'm her slave
