We had that same problem with our 2006 H3. You wouldn't get it all the time and almost never in the rain. When it pops you can feel it in the floorboard and it's loud. The dealer suggested spraying the body mounts with silicone spray and it only helped marginally for a month. They finally replaced the body mounts under warranty and the noise disappearred.
