Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
i had a escalade before my hummer. went through 4 sets of wheels on that. with my camaro, this is my 2nd set of wheels in less than 2 years..... its addicting. after i do the lift on the hummer, not only did i just buy new wheels for 38's, but ill have to buy new wheels to run in the winter since the stock wheels wont fit with the rancho lift.......i love spending money. lol

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Just wanted to clarify some mis-information I posted earlier. I was correct on backspacing being measured from the inner lip/back of the wheel to the hub. But offset is measured from the center of the wheel, NOT the hub, to the outter lip/front of the wheel. Essentially, the dead center of the wheel is a 0 offset, and a -12 offset moves the hub closer to the inner lip/back of the wheel. A +12 offset would move the hub closer to the outter lip/front of the wheel. Hope I cleared up any confusion I caused. And I didn't want to look like an idiot.
*By "hub" I'm referring to the part of the wheel where the lug nuts go, not the hub on the truck.

Not at all, I'll throw the spare tire carrier back on only if I'm going for long trips, other than that the spare stays in the garage....

I was debating whether to get the Gobi's Tire carrier for the roof, but it will be a task to mount and unmount due to the size and weight I have to mess with...

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
The company that does most of my work moddified one of the above pictured bed bar set-ups to carry a spare. The guy had it on for a couple of years, but ended up ditching it because it rendered the bed useless.
I disagree with most of the opinions here. I like the look of the rear tire carrier. Without it, the truck looks too short, almost like someone smooshed it.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
I see your point but I personally like the fact that I don't have to swing my spare carrier open everytime I want to drop the tailgate. Plus I think it makes the truck seem wider gotta love fat rear ends. Well..to some extent. But it's all personal preference!
