I had bought them on sale for $25 last year from Advance auto. Here they are at Autozone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ntifier=879256 If you search you can find them for a good deal. They are really good quality. I mounted them to the outside skid plate bolts. I like the look. I have them wired so when the brights are on they are off. I change my own oil so I just let them hang when I remove the skid plate.

...side question; why do you remove your skid plate to change your oil?

I had originally polished my skid plate so every time I changed my oil she would get a buff job. Now I just like to get a better view at whats going on down there with it off. Check the front diff etc.

Yes polished. When I bought my truck nine years ago I had the skid plate polished to a mirror finish. In order to keep it that way i had to keep polishing it. After a while that got old. I just find it easier for me to continue to remove it and then do my work under there.

Yup, I polished mine a couple times too using the same polish I used on the back wheel of the 1999 HD Night Train. Now I don't bother with it.

I too take the skid plate off when I do a lube, oil and rotate the tires so I can look around at the underside of things.

Different strokes for different folks
