A little cheaper, larger tank and probably much better compressor. Not to mention 4 horns-I wish the horns were metal and not plastic but oh well. Only other thing is having to custom install the kit which I don't see being an issue but that is a con where the Somo one bolts right in the engine bay.

My buddy has this setup. If you have an account with Grainger its a little cheaper. You can also buy the horns thru grainger.

I have a hornblaster setup similar to the link above. The ABS plastic is pretty awesome, they will never rust, and I believe the reeds have a lifetime warranty too. I had a cheaper set of horns and the reeds rusted and/or broke in cold weather. These ones are going strong and shake the ground when you hit the magic button. And you have lots of mountin options because they are seperate instead of one large unit. I put the tank and compressor behind my internal spare and put the horn between the rear bumper and the rear axle. I love it.

That sounds like a really good setup there PaHUMbug. I've been hesitant putting the horns at the back of the truck because I want max impact at the front where the clowns cut me off. I guess they're loud enough that the location really doesn't matter?

If I remember correctly there have been a few who have mounted them to the frame rails pointing forward-another possible option.

You could point those straight down and still have the same impact 360 degrees around you...
