I'd like to change my door and dome lights with those LEDs.

that's no big deal at all, when we meet up we can go over whatever you want. I'll shoot you a PM once I dig up what bulbs I used everywhere.

Latest update. Don't mind the dirty truck it rained and hailed here in AZ like a SOB the last 3 days.

Predator Brush Guard finally arrived. What happened was I received a BG with no hardware, called Hummer Parts Club and Dave had Predator ship me the hardware.....then come to find out the BG they sent was for the H3 so no wonder I couldn't figure out how it mounted. Finally got the correct BG and threw it on the truck yesterday.

I love it, I was thinking about going with the Treehugger or Demonguard but I don't do any hardcore offroading so this is more than enough for me!

Pics:

The other upside is the sides of the BG don't wrap around as far so I won't have any issues when I pull the trigger on the E&G offroad fender flares.

I did not, I got the one regarding your BG but not on the flares. I'm going to be buying some Delta fogs right now but shoot me a PM on the price and I'll see if I can swing that also!

Small update, figured I'd jump on the snubby antenna train......

Also cut the stock boot to seal everything up and make it look better.

hey Lojac, what kind of LEDs did you need to use inside the steering wheel? do the buttons just pop right off using a flat head screwdriver or panel pryer?

Also, for the gauge cluster, I have some lights out I need to fix. I replaced some of the motors for the needles but I couldnt remember how the lights were setup, are they also soldered?

thanks

Yes everything is soldered in. The cluster bulbs have bases so you can remove the filament bulbs and bend the leads of the LED's around the bases or just skip the base and bend the leads and solder them in place.

Steering wheel controls you can wiggle out forward a little bit then you need to find something to reach behind to hit the release for the wire harness. Once each pack is out you'll see little tabs on the side. You'll have to take something to pry the backing off of each button pack to get to the guts. Once inside you'll see how easy it is to replace those also.

Overall replacing EVERY light in my rig was highly time consuming and required some ingenuity in placing the LED's but it's not impossible by any means. With basic soldering skills anyone could do it.

Oops, the steering wheel lights take a standard 12 volt LED bulb. I believe I used 5mm LEDs, also be sure to get them with a diffused lens so you don't have any "hot spots"
