Why didn't you just drop your pants and take it in the rear like a real woman?

Respecting anyone who INSULTS you is called "Brown noser" or a more polite term "Suckin on some man sausage". Way to stick up for yourself Fido.

Never leave home without your backbone.

Well at this point I must thank all the people who have taken time to respond to my post. I realize there are people who hate everything. When I first got my jeep there were many cynics. And I could give a ****. I was wondering WHY people hate on things. As for the respect and "taking it in the rear". These are guys who would go into ANY fire with me....and any HAZ-MAT situation. And not to get to movie-esque, but do anything for the safety of myself and others they dont even know. So that is the respect I talk about...and if you think that is acting like a chick then so be it. Thanks again

Canucksnaphook,
You still should have let them have it back...I'm sure they would still have your back, just as you would have theirs after those comments. That is how YOU gain respect on jobs like ours. I also drive my Hummer to a firehouse everday, luckily for me, the guys I work with are a little more respectful of each other. They all love the truck, and one asked for a brochure because he is thinking about getting one himself. Another has just recently bought a used 2003 H2.

I would just buy what ever you wont to buy!!! what you buy with your legally earned money is none of there business!! If they dont like it that is just to bad!!! Do you need there approvel on what kind of milk to buy? Or what color to paint your house? NO!!! It is just none of there business. If you like it and can afford it BY IT. If not dont
It is up to you, and if they are truly your friends they will respect that. If they dont respect your decision, then they are not your real friends and then I wouldn't care what they think.

as you are well aware that in a job like ours, I sure did give it back to them....cause its not stop talking ****. If you dont, you get run over all day long. I will still get the vehicle I choose...and more and more I love the H3.

Thanks all

Snaphook, Oh that's the situation. Firehouse, military, police, it doesn't matter. You could get a Ferrari for free and they would still give you s ration of crap. They will rib you no matter what you do or say.

I think it's actually in the job description.

Seriously, the more they tease you about something, the more they like the idea inside.

canucksnaphook,
Sounds like you got a good handle on everything then. If you choose to get the H3, I wish you luck...YOU WILL DEFINITELY LOVE IT! And watch, the guys busting your chops now will probably like it once they see it in person.

Stay safe

i have heard my fair share of smack. i talked to my father how i have a huge interest in getting an H3. his first words were "dont get it, they are crap. they are not worth the money and not built well...get a toyota". my father owns 3 toyotas: pre-runner for my step-mom, sequoia for himself, and a corolla for my grandmother. honestly i dont care what he thinks, im gonna do it. he respects my decisions. he is tired of seeing hummers all over las vegas (where he lives). he lives and dies by toyota for some reason but to each his own!

a few friends at work think i am completely insane for wanting to spend this much money on a car. honestly i am a high roller and want the nicer things in life. if u can afford an H3, u deserve nice things in life. i am in the military and i work my @ss off for our country. my friends all drive $10-20k range cars and it works for them...well it doesnt work for me. i dont want to get by in life being plain..i want to get by feeling great about myself and what i own. i like to be an individual. i like to be the oddball in the parking lot with a Hummer while they all drive their simple cars throughout life. with that being said, guess who will be standing around my truck everyday scoping it? there are no hummer owners in my squadron at work and i have a squadron of 800 people...believe me, i will stand out in that lot.
i dont want to just cruise through the mountains and forests..i want to blast through everything in it and show what a hummer can really do. i dont care what anyone thinks. in the end, if i pick up chicks in my hummer instead of some POS honda, i win!

People love to talk about or insult things they don't have. If any of us gave a crap about what others thought, there would be no Hummers on the road.

I bought a Disco II and people at work made all kinds of comments about what I was getting paid. You know the glares and all. I got the truck for $34K; back in the day. So I sold the Disco II and bought an Avalanche NFE; $41K. Everyone liked it - no more comments or glares. It seems that I fit in better because I had a Chevy. Well, I done with that! I have an H3 on order, it's yellow, and I couldn't give a &$#@ what people are going to think. And as far as the tree huggers out there, the H3 gets better gas mileage than my Avalanche did, but you didn't flip me off then. Pure ignorance. I had a girl get on my case the other day about Global warming melting the ice caps and how we are all going to die because of Bush and SUVs. I told her it was a perfect time to drill into our Alaskan oil fields! I mean we're all going to die anyway. She still doesn't like me...

fstop - the Corvette is one of the most advanced cars on the market today. My dad has a 40th, and it gets 29-33 MPG day and night. It's actually an economy car! Go figure!

I find a lot of people I know are HUMMER and Harley experts who don't own either one. You know the type, "I wouldn't buy a bike unless it was a Harley and I sure wouldn't own a HUMMER unless it was an H1"...

Well, one of my most opinionated buddies went for a ride in my H3 and then I let him drive it... The next day, I got a call explaining that he had told his wife he was going to get an H3 between now and '07...

If ignorance is bliss, you can keep your bliss, because I'm driving a HUMMER... And the bastard is an H3 and I friggin love it!!!

Always remember- Opinions are like *******s. Everybody has one and it usually stinks.

But on the upside- if you're lucky someone will offer you some ATD.

i checked out the lariat 06 F150 and they are nice. i also checked out the dodge ram daytona 4x4 and it is nice. i like them both but nothing compares to a hummer. i really do have my mind set on a nice hummer. the daytona sounded sweet with the stock borla exhaust.

im gonna get alot of insane opinions from friends but in the end, its my hummer and my life! im gonna live it out and tell my kids that i was a car nut and this is what i owned.

Get a FlowMaster or Borla for the H3 and you will have it all!
