442 -
Those things are scarry!
My neighbors had one and somehow the thing, with the bike, fell off in the middle of a highway. Not pretty. Now it could have been their error in strapping it on, but all in all I would advise against this one.
Maybe consider this:
Thule Rack
Or, if you can swing it look at their hitch mounted racks. Good Luck

That looks way sketchy 442. I guess it would depend on the value of your bikes your hauling though. I have been using a hitch mount 4-bike Sportsworks rack for 5+ years now and love it. SportsWorks consumer line was bought out by Thule about a year ago. I checked out the latest at my LBS and its even sweeter(more adjustable now)!
Thule Hitch Mount
All I can say is spend the extra money and get a real rack....When your hauling over 20K+ in bikes its nice to be able to watch the road infront of you. instead of wondering if you have dropped a bike

dude, I wouldn't bother with a tie-strap rack (and I don't even have $20k in bikes, just maybe $20 in bikes).
Your experience may vary, but here's another discussion, I put pics of my (bolted on) rear bike carrier.
http://elcova.com/groupee/forums/a/t...1/r/7531077741
H3 Guy said a buddy of his had the rear hatch buckle from the extra weight, but I'm now looking at a month of 1-2 times per week bike carrying (10 miles one way) and no buckling. I'm keeping a close eye on it, but I think a rear tire carrier is cool, plus a rear hitch carrier may not work w/o an extension.

Probably expensive as the bike. It's like when I buy a part for my boat. It's expensive because it's a Marine product. You know Marine with a "M" for money. Or Hummer with a "H" for high cost...

I thought the "H" was for Happy! or Hardcore.
or in some cases Heavy.

I thought "H" stood for Horny???
Heres a shot of the SportWorks rack. Retail is 325 for a 2 bike and then the add on for bike 3 and 4 are 125 a pop I think.
