Sometimes you just have to get through the ugly and expect the damage. Going up this obstacle I bent my gutter, going opposite direction I missed by about 4". We have rock rails to protect us from these things. A 2K roof rack should do this at a minimum IMO. I just paid $1500 for steel rock rails with rock guards for that very reason. You simply can't control the trail, sometimes it's just necessary to take a certain line or drag over a certain spot. 3 other H1's and 1 H2 made it through this obstacle with no damage.

I don't know the brand of the rack but can tell you it makes no difference. None of them would hold up here and they SHOULD.
