I run 40 series Flowmasters on dual set up and have tail pipes over the axle all on the passenger side from cats out the back. It is located in the factory spot and mufflers are welded in on thier edge standing up and down with inlet and outlet front and rear of course.
The tail pipes just get over the axle and stop pointing down in just about the same spot where factory turned down and tucked up high above axle. Has a deep low sound at idle and normal acceleration. When You jump on it everyone knows as that is when they get loud. Running down the freeway a very low decibel sound almost not heard. No vibration in the cab. I could not have picked a better set up unless I had 5 or 6 H2's setting there to choose the sound i liked. The Performance exhaust shop had down a few H2's and when I tried to explain what i wanted He just said trust Him so i did and perfect. Oh I guess i should mention I have stainless long neck Dynatech headers and noticed a BIG difference right away. Then added programer and all the other usual stuff that is easy to add on. I'm actually pleased enough if I did not ever add a turbo or SC I would be happy the way it is. Performance shop estimates by factory numbers on each product that has been added I'm probably 425 to 450 HP at the flywheel. He felt that was being conservative. I think He is probably close as I have run alot of different amounts of HP and the things added to My girl really woke it up. I'm trying to work in a trip to Dallas as it is the only AWD dyno near Me but I talked to him last week and I will still have to remove front drive shaft as the H2 is to long to use the front drum on the dyno. H2 wheelbase is just to long for his AWD. I have found other single dyno's but they are not wide enough for H2. I hope I can get there soon so I can let everyone get an idea of what just the basic add on stuff is doing for us before we put on turbo's and SC.
