The H4 was tabled way back when because they were going to try to do it with an all new frame/suspension setup.
All new, but unique to the H4. If I recall the Theta crossover platform was to be used for the XL7, Saturn Vuew, Pontiac Torrent, etc.

There is even discussion of it being built off the H3, maybe just shortening the frame.
I'd be surpirsed to see it based on the Colorado platform, but who knows. I think they are missing out on a big market segment though, and the new 2007 Jeep TK/JK looks set to be a big hit, especially if they offer a CRD option. With Two door and four door models, I think it will do very well. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I think there was discussion about it being based off of the Theta, but I don't know by whom. Theta is independent all the way around and is car-based.

The use of the H3/Colo/Canyon will give it a truck based platform. Think of the H3 being the 4 door wrangler version then taking that and shortening it to make the H4. It's akin to how the H2 was developed, utilizing current frame and suspension with just a bit of re-engineering.
