Steve R. I feel your pain. As you can see from my sig I faced this same dilema and choose an H1. Almost the same reasons you outlined. Mostly off-roading and a weekend toy.
Not sure I want to go down the road of H1 vs H2 performance. There are differences. I've seen it from both sides now.
