Mizzou...I do not like the ineterior on the 250's with the powerstrokes. If they would drop the powerstroke in the F150 I would do that.
I had a long talk with someone supposedly in the know at Hummer that says the future H2 will address towing , and paint. They say the duramax is in it's future.
paragon.. do a search on chrome fuel doors, and you will see where I proved you wrong. So go ahead and start dragging that tracter/trailer and I will be waiting. The simple fact that you have to result to name calling , is a clear indication you know I am right.
I will see if I can get picture next time out, but it will not prove anything. Additionally, Hummer is not refuting my claims, and it sounds like they are addressing them.
Once again... Show me any kind of proof that the H1's are sprayed in the same location as the H2's.
longhorn... nice win saturday BTW, it is a true story on the new F150. 3,000lbs was nothing for it. My H2 really struggles. I agree it doesn't meet my needs, and should probaly sell it. However, Hummer says they want to bring it in and have some people look at it, and get a few different opinions on the paint, and the towing issues , so I am going to give them that chance.

I luv my 2005 Black H2 , but I have some major disapointments.
1) The paint job is pathetic, and that is about as nice as I can put it. It is not durable at all. It chips very easily, and the paint job is paper thin. Also, I have all kinds of debri/trash and what looks like metallic paint mist stuck in the clear coat from when they sprayed it. They will not do anythiing about it, becaue they refuse to break factory paint. You can only see if it when the truck is detailed and you look closely.
2) The towing ability is no where near as strong as my Ford f150 CREW. There is just no power at all even in the tow mode when towing anything over 3000-lbs. My mpg also drops down to 9 when towing. This a full 3-4 mpg less than I see when not towing. I only dropped 1 mpg with my F150.
Overall, I love the truck and highly recomend it. However, if improvements are not made in these 2 areas, I doubt I will get one again. I will probably just get another ford f150 crew for towing, or if I have the money a H1. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Gamblerhummer - I'm surprised your not happy with the H2 towing . Mine tow's great and its a comfy ride. I wonder if the 05's came with the same gearing as my '03?

My paint is OK, but scratched, Needs waxing. As for towing, I just towed a cargo trailer fron Indiana to the Bronx last weekend. 7X16 5000lb loaded on the way back.Towed great. I got 9.7 both ways. I was very happy with that. I guess it is all in your expectations, I wouldn't drive anything less.

. I consistently tow with my H2, so much so that I have brake controller custom made into my dash, up to 10K lbs.
Hey PARAGON do you have any pictures of your brake controller? Iam looking at getting a different one to install and I was interested by your "made into my dash". Thanks!

I just towed a trailer with a Yota 4x4 on it last night with my Ford and my mileage went from 15 to 10. I was not surprised by the drop in mileage when towing and not sure why anyone would be

I could not find a place to permanently mount the controller. The bottom of the dash is too far out of the way and the controller would hit my shin. I was doing other stuff and had my dash apart, so I decided to find a place to stick one in the dash. Not very pretty but I do screw with the voltage on the brakes quite a bit getting them set just right and having the controller handy is a must for me.

Thanks for the pic. I wish Hummer would do the same thing Ford did with their brake controller on the Superduties.
