Thanks for the info Apex IV. I will check out the Navman. I use Macs so the palm based iQue may be better for me even though I will still need Virtual PC for the mapsource software. White Beast has the alpine system in his. The controller is pretty nice, but I am afraid I would lose it.Also I have heard that updating the maps on the car systems are pretty expensive.

I have a Magellan 750nav (same unit as neverlost),in my H2 and I love it! It gives you the entire country and some of Canada and is updatable by sending the brain in it's back in a couple of days. I have had it for somtime and also have some experence (sp?) with BMW system and alpine's and this is just as good and in some ways better. I also have the second vehicle install kit in my MINI S.

If you consider the PocketPC version and run a Mac take a look at www.pocketmac.net might help ease some of the pain.
