Powder Coat on Dash

I need to re-paint my H2 dash in original colours. I heard its powder coat, but when I looked into it, Powder coat is a high temperature process only. Does anyone know a paint shop that can tell me how the "gritty" surface is done. Matching the colour is easy, but not the finish.

As you found out, you cannot powdercoat plastic.

Any good body shop can smooth the plastic dask parts and then paint and clear coat.

Check around--if you take the parts off yourself and deliver them, you will save a fair amount.

There are also several places on the internet that do this. I think the process is called photogenesis/hydrographics. Here is a website that does it for you but you have to send them the pieces you want done.

However, I remember seeing a website that would do it which didn't require you to send your pieces in; they had the pieces in stock and you just sent them your pieces after they sent you the new ones.

Thanks folks, but when i say "original" colours, I mean the real gritty, silver paint that comes with the original Hummer.
