Default H3 install locations help

looking at putting a JL 500/1 in my h3 can it be put behind the rear pannel were the monsoon sub is once removed? or does anyone know a better spot where it can be put so its out of sight and wont be in the way when i take the box out and put gear in

If you are going with a box you could just mount the amp to it. Otherwise you should be able to put it in the side where the monsoon sub is when removed. That is what Bparker did on his.

I intalled the amp for the sub where the old sub was.. then had 2 8" subs build into a box where the jack goes in the back door.

SOunds great that way and nothing in the way

good to know cant wait for the 2007 h3x to arrive =) where did u place the Z1 reciver for the GPS ?

if i remove that monsoon amp/sub will i lose the onstar and other features even if i use the onstar and chime. a GM licanced installer said that it would happend, altho i have no intention of paying there rates, still like to conferm it be in the 2007 h3x i have on order but im assuming its the same system he said it be onstar 6.1
