Default Changing front grille

I am wanting to change out the chrome grille on the front of my H2 for a black painted one. I am sure folks have done this, I am just wondering what it takes to get the front grille off and the new one back on.

Any help is appreciated.

it isn't hard ... takes about an hour if you have a brush guard
  1. remove factory brush guard should be total of 6 bolts (4 lower and 2 inside grill)
  2. Remove lower black mesh grill held on with for clips gentle pulling pressure will pull it out of chrome grill
  3. open hood and remove 4 nuts (located 2 on each side to outside of marker light housing)
  4. close hood and with gentle pulling pressure pull grill away from hood clips are the only thing holding in place

once this is done reverse process with new grill... make sure you have an assortment of sockets metric and standard will need a 15mm socket for lower brush guard these may be a little tough to get off mine had locktite applied.

hope this helps

I'd say less than 15 minutes if you've done it before....
