Side slope, what to expect vs Rubicon w/ 5.5" lift?

I am going offraoding with a doctor buddy of mine this weekend. He's got a rubicon w/ a 5.5" rubicon express lift. It should be a fun trip because he, like me, doesnt seem to give a phuk when it comes to testing limits. I will push the envelope but do so without being an idiot. I have taken the h2 (adv pkg stock tires) off road 4 times since i bought it in Sept, but have never really tested it on a side slope. I have a lev-o-guage and want to take it to the limit if presented the opportunity.

At what angle should I take it to on a side slope? I will load the heavy stuff in the bottom of the bed (no stuff on roof).

Also where will I be able to show him up? Or will he leave me in the dust? We are going to NC so it will be rocks w/ mud and some narrow, paint scratching trails I imagine.

Hummer says 40% which is just shy of 23 degrees. But that is with the truck at full GVW. You'll want your seatbelt on at 35 degrees.

I guess my comment made it sound like you would want your seatbelt on because of flip over. I intended to mean, you want it on because you start sliding out of your seat.

Thanks. That should give me that uneasy feeling im trying to accomplish! I don't think ive gone beyond about 20 deg in the h2 yet.

Yeah I bet the ruby w/ 5.5 in lift would flip (sideways) before I would. What about mud? he is lighter so wont he esentially float better than me? I belive he has 35" tires also.

The way he descibed the area, it sounds like Tellico. I'll find out.

any of you guys wheeled w/ a rubicom before?

With mud you don't want to "float" you want your tire to sink through to solid ground. You prolly got 3K pounds on him.

I did take pictures of the front lawn my buddy got his cherokee stuck in last week. The tire pits where he was are less than 2 inches deep.
