Default CD not responding

Hello everyone. I have this situation: One day I got inside my H2 and noticed that the clock had reset by itself. I didn't give it much thought, but I later found out that my cd does not respond at all, my radio and tape player work, but not the cd. I've noticed the clock resetting a couple of times again after that. any suggestions or comments?

have you tried searching the forum for the same issue?

I've never had that happen in my H2, but i recall in my 03 avalanche the 6 CD radio would just stop working and once i shut off the truck and restarted it then it worked again. only did this a few times thankfully.

Seems that i read something on here about this problem before.

For the clock reset, check your battery cables to make sure they are both good and tight. The clock resetting is common with a loose cable; negative and/or positive. Non-working CD? Could just be a coincidence that it is broken or else the radio is starting to break.
