I have my brush guards Hella's mounted to be at the same height as my stock highs. My roof lamps I have mounted to be in between the highs and the lows...they also spread left to right.

How do you guys do it. I am thinking of pointing them up - a little higher like my highs. What works best for all you guys/gals. I want to set them and forget them...*roto broil style*.

I think you are going to get very different answers on this one, but here's mine.

Rear lights:
set one up top is pointed about 25ft behind the truck. If you were in a semi truck riding my ass, you would get blinded.

set two is on my bed rack and points almost straight down to flood the light around the bumpers. If you were in a car riding my ass, you would be blinded.

FRONT LIGHTS:

Two sets on lower grill pannel are pencil beams and are pointed out past the H2 low beams and spread out to the corners of the truck so the road is lit up in both lanes and the starting of the ditchs. The two in the middle point straigt in front.

Two sets up on the GOBI rack are pointed out past my brights quite a bit. If you were on a back road somwhere and flipped them on the, two outside ones point in the ditches and that's their only job. The two middles point in each lane and flood the light out very evenly.

So with all the lights on, I can view the ditches in front of the truck up close and out very far also. The road is like daytime even at hwy speeds.
For backing up I can see what behind my rear wheels and also what I am backing towards too.

I have 4 PIAA 1500XT clear driving lights up top in the front of the GOBI rack with the upgraded exteme white bulbs and 4 PIAA P-1000XT in the lower grill. On the rear I have all 1500XT clears with the standard bulbs. Keep in mind if you put a clear non- beveled lense on the back you may not be legal.

Do you have another battery with all that draw? Sounds really like a nice set-up. I have nothing pointing backwards...yet.

Tim -- Can you post/do you have a close-up pic of the front grille light bar you made? I've tried to get a good look from the pictures on the forum but can't quite figure out how it all works.

I need more lights on the front end and very much like how your setup continues the low profile light look.

I'll get more pics this weekend for you.
You just need to get two set of those P-1000XT's and a switch to match your current ones. You can tie both sets into one switch. run the wires you did on the GOBI rack. Than for mounting the lights you can take a trip to Home Depot and get a falt piece of aluminum to mount the lights to. Once you have them mounted and angled the way you want them, mount that whole bar to the plastic behind your lower grill. Than you have to modify that lower grill to make it work. I posted a writeup on this way back in the day, but give me a call some time this weekend and I can go through some of the stuff with you.

You are too kind.

So what's the horizontal, silver thing under the lights?

And who's thread did I hijack anyway? (Sorry, VT.)

I'm still waiting for my second set of piaa's for that setup... Hey tim, where did you mount your switches? I'm also planning to someday install roof lights...
