I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for. Do dealers really care about this? I thought I read somewhere that an H3 owner was offered "free" stuff by his dealer when they found out that he had not yet submitted his survey. (i may be wrong though) My sales person also told me to bring in the survey, and they would give me a free oil change.

Basically, what I'm asking is, does the dealer try to entice you with free things just to get positive responses on the survey?

Thanks

It's against the rules (to offer free stuff), but a lot of dealers do it.

To answer your question, YES, THE SURVEY MATTERS! If your salesperson and dealership did a good job, mark every question (especially question 14) completely satisfied. Even if they didn't do a good job, give them a chance to make everything right before you ding them on a survey.

Big time. The ratings are important to both the dealership and the salespeople. They both can end up with a number of incentives based on high scores.

Yep, I just got the survey on Friday, filled it out and mailed it on Saturday. Got a voicemail on Monday from my salesperson telling me if I'm not completely satisfied to give him a call and if I could get that survey filled out and mailed because it means a lot to him.

Everytime I was at the dealer and in for service, I was always given a speach about the survey and how they wanted all high comments. No free gifts though! I'll ask next time.

I went in to inquire about the price of getting a center console tray. I then mentioned that I hadn't received my survey yet. I then asked about the cost of mud flaps.
I got the tray and the flaps for free.

I was offered free chrome gas cap for bringing in the survey form instead of mailing it directly to GM. apparently it matters a lot to them. they not only gave me the gas cap for free they also installed it for me.

Most assuredly they worry about those four page surveys. My Hummer dealer here in MI loves me, my Vette dealer in Franklin TN loves me. My old Cadillac dealer in Columbia TN hates my guts and probably still has my photo on their dart board. If the Cadillac survey had "worthless f***s" I would have checked that box too.

i work at a BMW dealership and I know that if the customers evaluate the certain dealership at a high enough level, then BMW gives money to dealership to give to their emplyees as a bonus every quarter.

At first I was very disappointed with my dealership but in the past month or so and through the purchase they had been great.

How long ago was that. I checked on the tray last week at my dealership and they said there weren't even any at the warehouse. Anyone find a place to get these recently?

How long does it take to get the survey? Bought 12/27 and have not received yet. Sales guy said to make sure we come back in when we get the survey it would be worth our while.

It was in December. I didn't see him do it, but I think he pulled it out of a different H3 because he walked out of the office and came back with the tray a minute later. It took 5 minutes for the lot guy to show up with the mud flaps.

That's cool. I was going to ask them to get me one from another vehicle when we were working the deal but forgot. May still try to get one.
