Happy Father's Day!
Just three hours ago, my only Boy shipped out to Boot Camp, to become a Marine.
I don't know why they took him on a Sunday. He is gone for about three months. He scored very well on his tests, and they want him in Admin.
Being Father's Day, this really hits home more than usual...

Ooh-Rah! Tell that ground pounder we appreciate him preserving our freedom.
(I was a Corpsman for 7 years stationed with the Marines)

Thanks Co-Pilot and others.
I wish i could say My Daddy Day was great but, I battled a blackout so did not get to do everything with Girls that i normally do but, they made sure to come and see Me. But, My situation is so small to think about the Father watching His Son leave on a day they should be out fishing together. Maybe just having a big lunch and talking while watching ball games.
My thoughts and Prayers are with those of You who have sacrificed Yourself or Your Son or Daughter for Our safety.
My Heartfelt Thanks to those who have had to deal with the supreme sacrifice for Our nation.
