Default Chimes

First post here but not new to forums. I've done a search and the last reply was back in Feb. with no apparent solution. My roommate just got an H2 and hates computers so I said I would do a little research for him.

Just wanted to see if anybody has figured out how to disable the various chimes. On my car (subaru) if you turn the ignition to ON and then click and unclick the seatbelt ~15 times, the seatbelt chime is disabled. (I know... wear your seatbelt to disable)

A solution or simple "no, it can't be done" would be very much appreciated

You can always change the head unit/amp to aftermarket and then DO NOT add a chime interface?

Or look at some of the photos on the internet of people who had air bags go off as they were exiting the vehicle via the windshield.
But Hummbob is right, replace the radio.
