Default how do you edit threads?

It says I can edit threads but I tried to add some info to a thread and didn't see the little scissors icon but it says I can edit my post, how do you do it? Thanks.

I believe (may be wrong), but you can edit up until someone answers your message.

You can edit your posts up to 24 hours from the initial posting. When I was editing an H3 FAQ page, it didn't seen to matter if someone replied ... but I don't know what happens if they quote the original post.

Here's an edit I made after RYD quoted my original post. Thanks RYD

Original quote after a response stays original and edit does not change it

Well, I think there must be a time limit of some sort as already mentioned. I thought I was able to edit past 24 hours but I did nothing with it this weekend and now I can't edit my original thread "Official GM parts Lis" (forgot the "t" when I started it.

I would like to continue to be able to edit that post to add new parts since I found some more I want to add, but I don't want to add them as another reply to the thread. Any ideas anyone? Can a moderator help me?

Rob
