Default Anyone extend the rear hitch mount on their h2 ?

I have 13.5 x 37 tires on my H2 and haul a toy hauler. Every time I hook up to the toyhauler I have to remove the spare so it wont hit the electric jack. So has anyone extended their rear hitch? BTW, When i say extending the hitch I am not referring to using a hitch extender but actually welding brackets into the frame to extend the hitch 10 inches or so.

How much did it cost and how did it hold up? Is this a good idea?
