I just purchased a new Hummer H2.
Spare tire is really taking a lot of space.
But, mouting the spare tire looks like it will block the rear view.
If I am just driving a car in the city, do I really need a spare tire with me.
How oftern does tire go wrong with Hummer?
Of course if off road or long trip, I will take my spare tire.

Please somebody give me an advice.

If Mac were back, that post would have been 6 pages long with no point.

Well, there really is no point.

Get a tire carrier, and it wont take up space. There are a number of options.

I'm probably the only som'bitch on this whole forum that has left the spare tire in it's factory position and never regretted it and never thought I needed to change it.

The spare tire is really not a problem.
From the beginning it's been on my truck's behind.
Looking rearward I see the other mirrors by turning my noggin.
If you have a flat, push the Onstar button and don't have a fit.
If you are under warranty GM will come and repair it.

Texas Red
Your not alone. I have not moved My spare. I just put My 3rd seat in and out when I need space and I have a Hummer cargo carrier for roof. I'm getting a JL Audio Stealthbox that fits in tool kit hole so I may end up taking spare out but I'm trying it first before I just jerk it out. If I take it out I'm not going to worry, been AAA Club member for 20 years and if I have a flat I'll have them send a wrecker and take Me to tire store. That is what I have My daughters do and do not call Me unless they give You any trouble. AAA has never given Me a problem for hauling a tire flat car with no spare. In fact My daughters usually have spare and unless it is after hours I told them have it towed to tire store. I have OnStar but had not heard about them not helping if You do not have spare is that a positive on that ruling? Can someone confirm or is this a GM policy?
Thanks
TAZ

Sheesh. For that kind of money just feed the wife/GF more and tell her to get the hell out there and put the tire on top of the Hummer.
