Steve, how big is the H3? What did you think of it? And was it closer to a concept version or a production version?

Detonate & Phil, To start, I absolutely admit I don't know anything about trucks. Phil is right about what I see. This morning, I paid attention to trucks on my way to work. Every pickup truck I saw was gardeners, contractors, workers, pool service guys, cleaners or whatever service guys. Once I am on the freeway, looks to me every truck is driven by someone who uses the truck for his work. On the way home I passed through some nearby average cities, I paid some attention (which I did not before), the neighborhoods with pickup trucks in the driveway or parked on the street are generally the ones on the other side of the track, or differnt side of the town as Billy Joe sang in his songs.
I looked at the paper, pickups are the cheapest vehicles.
You can laugh at me or California, but that is what I saw today once I paid attention to them. I spoke from a pure business point of view. Automobile brand is all image as far as business goes. Car companies know about this more than little me Joe Consumer. Hummer obviously thinks there is a lot money to be made from that side of town, they certainly would know a lot more about their business than me.

I was checking out GM's stats on the H3T and then went to Edmunds.com and compared them to a Regular Cab Colorado with the Z71 package. The H3T may be based off the Colorado but there are significant changes:
....................Z71..........H3T
Length:.............192.8".......174.9"
Width:..............67.6"........74.5"
Height:.............67.6"........70.6"
Weight:.............3603 lbs.....4650 lbs.
Wheel base:.........111.2".......118.6"
Ground Clearance:...8.4".........11.5"
I particularly like the fact that the H3T is almost 7" wider. Hopefully that translates into more hip room for my fat ass! I was kind of worried the H3 would be to small when I heard it was based off the new Colorado (which is really a compact truck whether Chevy wants to call it mid-sized or not, it's dimensions are close to the S10.) Now it looks like it will be more mid-sized than compact.

I suppose you're right Phil,
Just like if you take away the grill of the H2, lower it, put some regular tires.....Hey! it's a Volvo!

Or maybe it's because I'm from Texas and everyone has a Truck + one other vehicle.

Great link H2Stealth,
A couple of specs that jumped out and bit me on the nose:
11.5 inches of ground clearance
Rear suspension: 5-link with coil over shocks/springs
The locking front and rear axles on the H3T are borrowed from full-size GM trucks.
Impressive...most impressive.
This one seems a little odd though:
Two-door unit body pickup truck (single-piece body and box)
Wonder why they didn't go with a seperate bed and cab?
