On the tirerack website they measure 13.5 true width but on Kumhos website they measure the 12.5. Do you know how they actually measure the tire? If I wanted to take a tape measure where do I start and finish?

Section width is the overall width of the tire, not limited to tread. You can put a 2x4 on each side of the tire and measue the distance, or you can used weighted string or however else you want to measure; results should be the same. They are actually 12.50-12.75 not 13.50 which is why im getting some $$$ from Tire Rack as their specs are wrong.

If you don't mind me asking, what rim/tire combo are you running now? I've ordered 35x13.5x20 Micky Thompsons. Curious if I've chosen correctly.

I'm glad to have such a positive response. I have never had this much difficulty choosing a tire.. I've seen some of your pictures through searching the site, your H2 was on the beach, are those the 35x13.5x20 tire that's in your sig? And do you find that they stick out past the fenders much?

Thanks for ALL your help, your very kind! I'll find out the backspacing of the rims I ordered. Not sure if I did the right thing, but I changed my order before the package was shipped. I chose the BFG KM2's 325/60/20. According to their website, it's 35.6" o/d and 13" wide. The rim width is 20x10.

btw, I love the way your truck sits, must look great on the road! Thanks for the pics.

Kal

14.00!! That's wide.

My rims have a "backside" of 5.500, still trying to figure out what that means, my guess is if it's 5.5" backspace and the rim is 10" wide, and the tires are aproxx 13" wide, if luck is on my side, I think it might turn out pretty good.

The tires are not siped, so I have no clue as to how they will handle in wet conditions. I'm not an aggressive driver so I think I'll be fine.
