Hi all, I have an '03 H2 and am looking
to meet up with other owners for some off-road as
well as on-road activities. I'm in Ashburn (Northern VA) Checked out MACH (club site) seems
like there's been no activity since the Spring...
National Forest anyone?

Welcome to the H2 forum. Well, I'd be up for some driving, but I'm nowhere near your neck of the woods. Don't worry, plenty of folks around here on the East coast. Anyhow, welcome.

I wanted to congratulate you on that new sweet-as-hell ride!!! If you enjoy your H2 1/2 as much as I do mine you'll be pleased w/ your purchae. I'm in IL, so I'm not really too close to consider hooking up easily for some off-roading.
But all the same, E N J O Y !!!!!
There is nothing else like it!

I'm in Ashburn also, but I have a Toyota. What trails have you hit in the area?

Thanks for the welcome guys. I really love driving this truck! I took it off-road on an old farm near my house last weekend- had a blast. A buddy of mine with a Jeep has shown me a couple of trails in the George Washington Nat Forest. I'll be going there next I guess. Ted, do you know of any good places closer to home?

What part of the GWNF did you go to? There is Madison which is about 80 miles from you. I have not been that trail. I think there is a group going there this weekend. There is really not anything local that is legal that I know about.

There is Paragon in PA. Which is about a three hour drive.

We went in near Edinburgh (I think) and ended up crossing over the mountain into Fort Valley.
What group is heading out to the Madison area?
That sounds like it is on the eastern side of Shenandoah Park in the Rapidan Wildlife area.
-I've seen Paragon's site, looks like a good place
for a road trip.

A trip the GWNF sounds good to me. You're talking the weekend of the 15-16th right? Sat would be better for me. KenP, hope you can make it too.

Sorry I missed your message; can only check this board at work-home pc is dead. Took my H2 out Sunday down a long back road to a creek ford. Got a couple of pics of the truck door-sill deep in the creek. I'll post 'em later. Did you get out anyway?

Sounds good to me. Sunday would probably be the better day. Rifle season starts Sat morning... I found a 4X4 trail listed on the NF website, I'll call the ranger station-see if the the trails are open.

Here's a link to the GWNF orv site. Looks like there are two trails we could hi tin the Woodstock area. About an hour or so west of us.

How about Sunday at the Centreville commuter parking lot. It's on Rt 29 right off of Rt 66.
Take the 29W exit from 66. The lot is at the top of the hill on the right. The trails are about an hour or so west of there. I'll email you offline to set the time. Anyone else interested?
