Hey BradO ... in what section at home depot did you find those handles? I went there right after getting my H3 looking for "handles" that would work but didn't see anything ... I checked the door and cabinet section. I also went to other "home" centers looking but didn't see anything in the right size.

You forgot to go to the hardware aisle and get those extra hinges for the front end of the hood.

You think your $150.00 + handles look nice ... I think my $9.00 handles look just as good ... I was at my hummer dealership the other day picking up a few Christmas presents that Santa forgot and as I was leaving there was a sales man standing at my hummer with a couple of customers and he was telling them that the handles I had on my H3 where a special order item and that they required custom installation ... ROFLMAO !!!
Black Plastic HUMMER handles $195.00
Chrome HUMMER handles $295.00
The look on there faces when I told them mine where $9.00 "PRICELESS"
Now ... as for those kitchen cabinet knobs and handles ... hummmm ... I'm off to the hardware store
oh and by the way ... GFY!

I know what you mean. My 10 year old daughter says I'm over accessorizing. I thought that was only a chick thing. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Listen to your 10 year old daughter, she sounds pretty smart.

Anybody got a good pic of the Black SMA Handles installed? Apart from that pic on their website.
Any opinions on them?

MyKnobs.com???????Thats funnier than the whole trowel handle install!!!! Someone needs to install a more art deco version to the hood, A pilars and roof rails and call it the Miami special edition ala "Texas longhorn edition" as seen in another topic.....Someone will be rich !

All of those look nice. I also want to go with the Blacked Out look and plan to put some on my future rig. $150 does'nt sound bad, I heard of people paying a lot more. Love the pics, Please post more!

The trowel handles look pretty good to me. Hell, I bet they're more ergonomic than those $150 ones. Of course, they're just for show anyway, right?

Yeah, the hood handles from GM cost a little. They definitely help set off the H3 from anything else though. After you pay $35k on a vehicle, goin' chintzy, especially when it looks it, just doesn't make sense. Now, if you'd milled and anodized a set that looked BETTER than the GM set, well, heck yeah!

I like the look of some of them but I'd rather spend my $$ on other stuff. If I end up getting some I'd get these in the black PC. They are the SMA ones.

Really if your going to drill into hood grill you might as well get the real handles I would like a set in black.
Game Over You strap that to your roof fill it with water(forget about the weight limit on rack)Then go wheeling with someone in it.

I have a great idea for all of you trowel handle installers. Rather than waste the trowell, put it on the underside of the hood when screwing the handles on to stiffen it up. This should be enough strength for those helo evac lifts!!!!!!!
I'm putting my money into trowel companies.
