Re: Top Speed?
BTW- You may want to look at the rating of top speed on your tires. I'm not sure if they are speed rated over 90mph? CAn someone verify this?

Looks like they are "Q" rated:
http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tires...r/index_bs.asp
"Q" speed rating denotes 99 mph as the maximum sustained speed.

Re: Top Speed?
I believe, and the chart at Bridgestone verifies this, the 285 tires do not have a speed rating. Speed ratings symbols are not required on light truck tires. Therefore, they probably fall under the R rating which is 206 mph (used for HD truck tires). This would seem logical, since GM caps the top end of all their vehicles about five miles under the tire rating (unless you have a ZO6 )
H rated tires are usually capped at around 125.
In addition a tire is good shape will not blow up if pushed past the speed rating, and a tire that is not in good shape (especially under-inflated) may blow lower than the speed rating.

Re: Top Speed?
I did a little over 90 mph about a month ago in Md. I too wonder what was the top speed on the Hummer H3. Drove pretty good too at 90 mph.

Re: Top Speed?
Well I did honestly do 110mph in mine a couple of weeks ago, I have a reprogrammed pcm with no speed limiter......
I had an Avalanche riding my bumper at 90 and so I punched it, he stayed with me until about 97 when his limiter kicked in.......
That was with the 33" duelers and not my 35" STT's and the truck was surprisingly stable at that speed. It was still climbing when I let off the gas...

I think you did a typo on the R speed rating...shouldn't it be 106?

Re: Top Speed?
Over here in Bahrain, we are limited by the "government" to 170kph... that's 110mph for everyone else, and I hit that limiter quite often ... The H3 can perform, the biggest issue is everyone thinks that 'coz its a 3.5 then it must be crap... well, believe me, it outperforms everything else.. The Range Rover with 4.4 V8, Lexus etc.. the car is GREAT.
Must admit, if they bring out a V8, it'll be adios!!!
Cheers!!!
