In Colorado you almost have to know it. Same as AZ, NM, TX, CA. It is the most common seond language taught in schools here. Tons of migrant types here, you know? It just makes it easier if you know the language. I think the reported stat is 17% hispanic in CO. Any those are the legal ones.

Were bilingual in every province but quebec. Their if you speak English in a business they call the language police. If you have an English sign bigger than the french one they call the language police again--think I'm kidding--guess again. In Ontario we also have the smoking police and not because their hot looking or working. You can only smoke outside at any establishment where their is no roof of any kind above your head, Exceptions are just one--any and all Government run Casinos. I don't smoke and I still find this ridiculous.
