Re: Toying with the idea- 37s, minor lift, gears- help
No pics of that mod...but I put Bilsteins in the rear too. The ride is great on and off road.

Sounds like you pretty much did what was in this thread, which explains everything anyone would need to know. http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...t=36505&page=2
Cool.
Any suggestions on my wheel situation?

I'm a pretty big BFG guy, if you don't want MTs and given that they don't make 37x12.5x20 ATs any longer, I'd be looking for new rims.
But, since that's not always an option due to cost, some else might have to chime in with other AT tire recommendations.
One thing to consider though, the bigger the rim, the more expensive the tire. I'll use my BFG MTs as an example:
37x12.5x20 = $600 ea
37x12.5x17 = $404 ea
discounttiredirect.com
So a smaller rim will save you money every time you buy tires...

I like the rim, but I might not have a choice.
BFG doesn't make a 37" in A/T period.
Nitto does, but to get down to a 12.50 I'd have to downsize rims.
Some things to think about.
